Challenges

Well, I’ve started! Kind of. This week is a ‘pre-course’ Python refresher - we’re doing it from home. I’m looking forward to really starting, and meeting teachers and classmates, next week.

In the meantime, we watch a video each day on some aspect of Python, do some Codewars (I like Codewars) and then complete some challenges. Fizz Buzz, shuffling, checking for exceptions, that kind of thing. The first two days have been relatively easy - there’s been a bit of head scratching, and I *almost* put in a support call to the teachers earlier this morning - but then had an ‘aha!’ moment and got it to run.

I think later in the week will be harder - I’m not super comfortable with dictionaries, and as for OOP - we’ll see how I get on!

But the big news - I got funding! Pole Emploi have come through with the dosh, at the last minute. That’s a relief - it was going to be quite a hit to the bank account if I had to pay it myself.
